HOW TO REGISTER

To maximize the relief we can provide, we want to donate all of the proceeds from the 5K as a tax-free, charitable gift. One safe way we can achieve this goal is by collecting the funds in a GoFundMe account. This will allow us to give the entirety of the proceeds from your donations to the Tutu Project without facing extra fees.

Note: Everyone who registers before September 15th will receive a Rose Run 5K T-shirt! Since we are such a small operation, if you register after this date, we will not have the capacity to order your shirt in time. Thanks for understanding!

MORE ABOUT ROSE RUN

Rose Run 5K is dedicated to raising money to support breast cancer patients and research. It is inspired by Grandma Rose who lost her second battle with breast cancer in 2016. She was good at a lot of things: crafting, (swearing), hugging, and laughing. If she could be here to participate in the 5K with all of us, she would probably show up 40 minutes late to the race because she stopped at 6 yard sales on the way to Scera Park, and she would most likely walk the course with a pack of stray dogs trailing behind her. Grandma was special because even when they were far and few between, she always made time to stop and smell life's roses.

All of the proceeds will be donated to the Tutu Project of the Carey Foundation, a nonprofit that works to care for the daily needs of current patients. It began when Linda Carey was diagnosed with cancer and her husband, Bob, donned a tutu to try and cheer her up during some of her darker days. Bob’s mission has since cheered patients around the world, and we think Grandma Rose would have gotten a kick out of his tutu.

Our goal is to host a unifying, hope-inspiring event. If running isn't your thing, we would still love your support. Come and walk part of the course, or stand at the finish line and cheer on the other participants!
